Chick-fil-Two new restaurant ideas are being tested, and one of them will be in the metro Atlanta area, as the chain revealed on Thursday.
The Atlanta-based company recently revealed plans to introduce a new premium drive-thru model that will debut in 2024 and is “designed for greater ease and efficient service, while still providing the friendly and warm hospitality our guests have come to know and love.”
At Chick-fil-A restaurants, customers can place their orders with a cashier or use a special mobile lane.
Meals will be “expedited to the Team Member who delivers the order directly to the customer in a space protected by the upper level,” which will be located above the drive-thru lanes where the kitchen will be constructed.
Another prototype, a walk-up restaurant, is set to debut in New York City and is “designed to fit seamlessly in urban areas with heavy foot traffic.”
The software allows guests to place orders in advance.
According to Khalilah Cooper, the director of restaurant design, these new digital formats make the experience for both customers and Team Members more seamless, making it more memorable and also giving them more time to engage with one other.
The site of the forthcoming Atlanta outpost of the chain remains unknown.
