The Tampa Bay area is getting the first Wawa drive-thru in the state of Florida.
The new Largo Wawa will be freestanding with a drive-thru lane. Opening this year, it will be the first of its kind in the state.
The city of Largo lists 2530 East Bay Drive as the future site of the store. The city has stated that a comprehensive evaluation of the project’s site plan is now underway.
Customers would be able to “experience and enjoy their favorite Wawa products while remaining in their vehicle,” according to Wawa’s description of its new retail concept.
“It will further our mission of boundless convenience and is designed to provide fast, drive-thru service without customers even leaving their cars,” a spokeswoman said to WFLA.
In Falls Township, Pennsylvania, Wawa debuted its first drive thru only location.
