H-E-B, a grocery store chain in Texas, has launched a new e-commerce fulfillment center in Plano to support its expanding footprint in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery orders for Plano and surrounding areas, including the Frisco H-E-B and the soon-to-open McKinney and Allen locations, will be fulfilled from the 55,000 square foot facility located next to the Plano H-E-B at 6001 Preston Road. The retailer’s dedication to integrating cutting-edge technologies that promote omnichannel expansion and deliver a better shopping experience for Texans is expanded by the fulfillment center.

Kedar Patel, H-E-B‘s group VP of e-commerce, said, “At H-E-B, we’re always looking for ways to offer Texans a better shopping experience and more options to choose how they shop, pay for, and receive their products.” To better serve our consumers, whether they purchase with us online or in our stores, we are implementing cutting-edge technologies throughout all aspects of our business.

H-E-B’s e-commerce fulfillment centers keep in stock items found in stores and are utilized to complete Curbside and Home Delivery orders, helping to meet the increasing demand for online shopping. Improved product availability, fewer crowded aisles, and higher productivity are all benefits of these modernized retail spaces. The facilities use several kinds of automation to aid workers in processing orders in a way that is both streamlined and productive. H-E-B’s Curbside and Home Delivery services are now offered at more than 270 locations across Texas, thanks in large part to the increased supply chain capacity provided by these centers.

H-E-B has opened five other e-commerce fulfillment centers since 2018, making this the sixth. DFW Metroplex is a fast developing area of Texas, and the company plans to establish new facilities across the state by the end of next year to support the retailer’s growth there.

H-E-B, meantime, is hiring qualified candidates for a variety of full- and part-time opportunities at its Plano location. H-E-B has already established thousands of jobs in Collin County, and the Plano plant will add another 125 positions to the county’s economy through the e-commerce department.

H-E-B donated $5,000 to the Plano ISD Robotics Club as a community present for the opening of its new store in Plano.

H-E-B, headquartered in San Antonio, is the largest privately held employer in Texas, with over 420 locations and 145,000 employees throughout Texas, Mexico, and beyond.
