McDonald’s, the fast food giant, just last month introduced a new wedding package for $200 for those who want the golden arches to cater their special day.
The wedding package, as advertised on the company’s Indonesian Instagram account, has a hundred chicken sandwiches and a hundred four-packs of chicken nuggets.
A McDonald’s Indonesian Instagram post states, “McD’ers, let’s make the wedding moment more memorable with the Wedding Mekdi package.” For orders of 200 or more units, we also offer a number of extra fascinating packaging alternatives.
There are other options than the chicken sandwich and chicken nuggets, says Rizki Haryadi, an Indonesian corporate communication supervisor.
Haryadi told the Sun, “There are also other service options, where we can also provide food stalls at an additional cost.”
Prices for wedding catering start at $235 with a minimum order of 200 goods, but the wedding package is not for hosting the ceremony or reception at a McDonald’s restaurant.
The wedding package is presently only offered in Indonesia, but it could make its way to the United States.
The fast food chain’s Hong Kong branch made it known that they performed weddings there several years prior to Indonesia introducing its brand-new wedding package, according to the Sun.
For an additional $127, the “Happiness Party” package’s basic price of $382 includes everything from invitations to the venue, audio equipment, and food.
McDonald’s was contacted by The Post for comment.
Social media users considered the news to be hilarious.
One commenter quipped, “The new breakthrough is that an international restaurant brand is now getting into weddings.”
A second individual chuckled, “It’s crazy how home catering panics when you get a delivery like this.
McDonald’s recently gained popularity after a number of TikTokers turned the Grimace shake, which was introduced to honor one of the company’s mascots, into something sinister.
The berry-infused beverage, which was introduced on June 12 to commemorate Grimace’s birthday, is said to match the cartoon character’s “iconic color and sweetness.”
