The new Starbucks menu is pretty sweet. On Tuesday, in honor of the arrival of summer, the coffee shop began selling frozen lemonade drinks. Three new flavors have been added to the lineup of refreshing beverages: pineapple passionfruit lemonade, strawberry acai lemonade, and mango dragonfruit lemonade.
Layers of strawberry puree sit on a base of fresh fruit and lemonade blends.
Customers have been able to personalize their Refreshers since its introduction in 2012 by “adding coconutmilk, lemonade, or blending with ice,” according to a news statement from Starbucks.
Since it went viral in 2017, the company’s “pink drink” has become arguably the most well-known refreshment in the world. Strawberry aça and coconutmilk, what could be better?
In May, Starbucks unveiled two more limited-time beverages. White chocolate macadamia cream cold brew and chocolate java mint frappuccino are two of the latest light and cool refreshers available to coffee connoisseurs.
The cold brew is sweetened with macadamia syrup, and it’s served with a cool foam of white chocolate, macadamia nuts, and toasted cookie crumbs. The frappuccino has a chocolate mint flavor from the syrup. Those with a sweet tooth can also choose whipped topping and chocolate cookie mint sprinkles.
In May, Starbucks also announced that nugget ice would be used in place of regular ice in all iced beverages sold by the company. Stores that experience significant demand for cold beverages will have their orders delivered first.
